The Business Policy Report
The Business Policy Report aims to identify and explain key domestic and international policy issues that business leaders must understand.
Business leaders face an increasingly challenging policy environment. Domestically, the Biden administration’s economic policy aims to revive U.S. domestic manufacturing through the “reshoring” of U.S. supply chains, transform the U.S. economy through a transition to “green” energy, support for the U.S. semiconductor industry, and support for infrastructure development. At the same time, the presidential election amid rising populist sentiment presents a challenge to these aims and increases policy uncertainty. Internationally, the world faces new armed conflicts, changes in international trade, global migrations, and an increasingly divided global economy.
Nevertheless, business leaders are expected to be well-informed about this challenging political and policy environment. This publication will focus on identifying and explaining key policy developments in order to help executives develop a strategic view on policy and improve policy risk management.
